House of the Potter, Inc.

In March 1979, Catherine and Ed Stewart opened a small Christian Book and gift store called “All This & Heaven Too” in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The store reflected their faith and featured their son Jay’s pottery.

Jay and Laura moved to the North Coast later that year to open "Otter Woods Pottery" and help Mom & Dad with the store.

From the beginning our mission was (and still is) to serve Christ by offering inspiration to enhance lifestyles and celebrations with pottery, gifts, cards and books.

In January 1997 Jay & Laura purchased "All This". Inspired by Jeremiah 18:2, they combined the two businesses under the roof of "House of the Potter Inc.".


Laura manages the store: reviewing the books and carefully hand picks our selection of cards and gifts.	Jay produces the pottery, does maintenance and occasionally helps the customers in the store.	The family tradition continues with Jay & Laura's children and extended family helping in the store and studio.

In June 2005 "House of the Potter" moved to what once was the old Cannon Beach Fire Station, now called the "Cannon Beach Spa Building", across from the tennis courts and the city park on Spruce Street. Welcome to "House of the Potter Inc.". A unique family shop offering a selection of books, cards, pots and gifts with a joyful faith and grateful heart in mind. Shop, browse, pick up a pot, or just visit with one of the family. We are here to serve you.
